The function of the housing of the speed differential fall arrester

The fall arrester is an important safety equipment for personnel working at heights, capable of quickly braking in case of an accident and effectively preventing falls. In terms of locking devices, fall arresters are mainly divided into two types: wire rope type and webbing type. These two types of fall arresters each have their unique advantages and applicable scenarios. Despite their differences in core structure, they share an important external structure - the housing.

Currently, there is a wide range of speed differential fall arresters available on the market, with significant differences in size and weight among products of different brands and specifications. This variability prevents the interchangeable use of steel wire ropes or webbing within various fall arresters. However, some manufacturers of speed differential fall arresters have broken away from convention and developed universal products. These products allow for the installation of either steel wire ropes or webbing within the same specification of the fall arrester housing, greatly facilitating operators' ability to flexibly choose the appropriate locking device based on the actual work environment.

The quality requirements for the internal components of fall arresters are also very strict. As an important part of the fall arrester, the steel wire ropes must be tightly twisted, and there must be no overlapping, protrusions, bends, crushing, disordered crossings, burns, or broken strands; while the webbing must be soft and wear-resistant, and there should be no abrasions, cuts, burns, or other damages on the surface, edges, and soft eyelets, to ensure that the fall arrester can reliably perform its protective function at critical moments.
