National standard for seat belts: How long is the typical length of the seat belt rope

Seat belt: a personal protective equipment used to prevent high-altitude workers from falling or to hang them safely after falling. The length of the safety rope directly affects the impact force. The longer the safety rope, the greater the impact distance, and the greater the impact force.

A safety rope is woven from synthetic fibers and is an auxiliary rope used to connect seat belts. Its function is to provide double protection and ensure safety. Generally, the length is 2 meters, but there are also 2.5 meters, 3 meters, 5 meters, 10 meters, and 15 meters. Safety ropes over 5 meters are also used as suspension ropes.

In construction projects, accidents such as operators falling from heights and objects falling and injuring people often occur. These types of accidents are caused under certain environmental conditions. Falling from high altitude is certainly extremely dangerous, but the environment and causes of falling accidents are diverse.

For example, when the operator is working in a building that is very high above ground level, if the surrounding area is enclosed or has blocking measures, the environment is relatively safe. However, even at lower levels of construction work, such as only 1-2 meters above the ground, a fall can still cause casualties and property damage.
